My first pick for this game is for the Houston Cougars and St.Joseph Hawks to go over their total combined points in this game on Friday evening. Both of these teams have been respectable mid-Major schools over the years and in Houston’s case, this season they are one of the top teams in the country. In the Cougars first game of the season they scored more than 80 points and I expect them to replicate that in this game, however, I expect this game to be much closer as well, and feature an additional 60 plus points from the Hawks.
My second pick for this game is for the third ranked Houston Cougars to pick up the win over St.Joes on Friday evening. While I expect this one to be a competitive game, in the end I think Houston just has too much talent to not pick up the win in this early season matchup. As they look to move to 2-0 on the season and keep their place in the top 25 poll for next week.

SMU @ #24 Dayton – 7pm ET
My first pick for this game is for Southern Methodist and Dayton to go over their first half points in this game on Friday evening. I expect this one to be a high scoring game between two of the better mid-majors in the country, as they both look to grab their second win of the season. These two teams combined for 150 points in their season opening victories and I am expecting more of the same in this game on Friday.
My second pick for this game is for the twenty fourth ranked Dayton Flyers to pick up the win over the Southern Methodist Mustangs on Friday night. I expect this game to be close and competitive throughout but in the end I look for Dayton to pull away and grab the victory and move to 2-0 on the season.

Norfolk State @ #5 Baylor – 8pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Baylor Bears to go over their total team points in their second game of the season against Norfolk State. In their first game of the year they scored triple digit points as they logged 117 in a huge blowout win. Leading the way for them in scoring was Adam Flagler who dropped 21 points to open up the season. I am expecting him to have another big scoring output in this one as well.
My second pick for this game is for the Baylor Bears to grab the win over Norfolk State in this game on Friday night. This one shouldn’t even be close, as I expect Baylor to absolutely run away with this game and improve to 2-0 on the young season. They are one of the top teams in the country and I expect them to put that on display against Norfolk State, as I look for this one to nearly be over by halftime.

Liberty @ #20 Alabama – 8pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Liberty Flames and Alabama Crimson Tide to combine to go over their total points in this game. In the first game of the season for both of these teams they both came away with a victory and they also combined for a total of 179 points. Liberty scored 104 of those points while Alabama scored 75 of them. I am expecting those scoring numbers to be a lot more balanced in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the Liberty Flames to pick up the upset win over the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday evening. Both of these teams have looked solid to open up the year and I expect to see the first top 25 upset of the evening in this game, as I think Liberty will edge Alabama on the road in a high scoring game.

BYU @ #19 SDSU – 10:30pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the BYU Cougars and San Diego State Aztecs to combine to go over their total points. These two teams used to have a huge rivalry back in the day when Jimmer Ferdette and Kawhi Leonard played for the schools. I expect this one to be a high scoring game after these two teams combined for 140 points as BYU put up 60 and San Diego State scored 80 points to open up the year.
My second pick for this game is for the San Diego State Aztecs to pick up the win over the Brigham Young Cougars in the second game of the season. They come into this game ranked nineteenth in the country and they should have no problem getting their second win of the season in this one to remain undefeated.
