My first pick for this game is for the Houston Cougars LJ Cryer. He is off to a solid start this season, and he will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Thursday night as they hit the road for the first time this year. He is the leading scorer for the Houston Cougars and their highflying offense throughout their first three games of the regular season, and he will be looking to maintain that pace here and their fourth game of the season against Townson in this Charleston Classic game. He comes into this game averaging 15 points per game throughout their first three games of the season but he will need to be a lot more efficient throughout the regular season as the competition ramps up as he is only shooting about 39% from the field. The senior guard has been solid for Houston during his first year with the program, and he will be looking to continue this hot start to the season. That is exactly what I expect as I look for LJ Cryer to go over his total points here on Thursday night.
My second pick for this game is for the Houston Cougars Emanuel Sharp. He has been putting up quality numbers for Houston throughout their first three games of the season as he is one of three double digit scorers on the roster. He comes into this game averaging around 13 points per game on the season and he will be looking to maintain that points per game average throughout this contest on Thursday night on the road. He will also be looking to surpass his points per game total in this game as Houston looks for their fourth victory of the year here on Thursday night in the opening game of the Charleston Classic. He will also need to be a bit more efficient shooting the basketball as he is shooting around 41% on the season and that will need to improve throughout the year. Regardless of that, I still look for him to go over his total points in this game on Thursday night.
