My first pick for this game is for the Syracuse Orange guard Judah Mintz. He is the main player on the Syracuse roster this season, and as a sophomore, he has quickly established himself as one of the best young players in the country. He certainly has an NBA future ahead of him but for now, his focus will be on leading Syracuse to success throughout this season. He comes into the second game of this tournament as the leading score for the Syracuse Orange, and he will be looking to lead them to a bounce back performance after their blowout loss to Tennessee on Monday afternoon. He put up 15 points, but he did not shoot the basketball well and he will be looking to improve upon both of those numbers in this consolation game here on Tuesday afternoon as Syracuse looks to keep their Maui Invitational run with a victory over a top 15 team in the country. For that to happen, he needs a stellar game here in this one and that is exactly what I look for regardless of the result, as I look for him to go over his total points in this one.
My second pick for this game is for the Gonzaga Bulldogs Graham Ike. He put up quality numbers in their opening game of the tournament despite the loss to Purdue as he scored double digits and he will be looking to replicate that performance here on Tuesday afternoon against Syracuse. They will need a solid performance out of him if Gonzaga wants to get right back into the column here on Tuesday and get themselves back on track throughout the remainder of this tournament and the remainder of their schedule as well. The transfer is putting up numbers throughout his first couple games and a Gonzaga uniform, and he will be looking to maintain that pace with another quality performance here on Tuesday afternoon against a solid power five opponent. He was also rebounding the basketball pretty well throughout their game against Purdue and that is something he will also need to do in this one. I expect him to go over his total points in this game against Syracuse on Tuesday.

#22 James Madison @ Southern Illinois – 6pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the James Madison Dukes Terrence Edwards. he comes into this game as the leading scorer for James Madison through their first four games of the regular season. He will be looking to record another quality performance here on Tuesday night on the road against Southern Illinois, as James Madison looks to remain undefeated through their first five games of the year. He is averaging around 20 points per game but he will need to shoot the basketball a little bit more efficiently as he is currently shooting south of 50% on the year. He comes into this game, shooting the basketball at a 42% clip throughout their first four games of the season and that is something that will have to change when there is a step up and competition for James Madison. As far as this game is concerned on Tuesday night, I look for Terrence Edwards to go over his total points against Southern Illinois as James Madison looks for a perfect 5-0 start to the season.
My second pick for this game is for the Southern Illinois Salukis Xavier Johnson. He comes into this game as their leading score through their first three games of the season, and he will be looking to record another quality performance here on Tuesday night against James Madison. He is shooting around 55% from the field throughout their first three games of the season and he will be looking to improve his points per game number and his shooting percentage with a solid performance here on Tuesday night against James Madison in Cancun. He has been efficient at facilitating the basketball as well as he comes into this game. Averaging nearly six assists per game throughout their first three games of the year. I expect his scoring ability to be on full display in this game on Tuesday as I look for Xavier Johnson to go over his total points against James Madison.

La Salle @ #9 Duke – 7pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Duke Blue Devils Kyle Filipowski. He is off to an incredible start to the season, and he will be looking to keep the momentum rolling with another solid performance here on Tuesday night at home. He comes into this game as the leading scorer for Duke throughout their first four games of the regular season, and he will be looking to lead them to their fourth victory of the season here on Tuesday. He arguably could’ve gone to the NBA last season, but he decided to return to Duke and play out his sophomore year and so far it has been the correct choice as he has been excelling throughout the first four games of the regular season. He comes into this game averaging around 19 points per game and he will be looking to record another quality performance here on Tuesday night at home against La Salle as Duke looks for their fourth win of the year. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Duke to get the win, led by a solid performance from Filipowski as I look for him to go over his total points in this game on Tuesday night.
My second pick for this game is for the La Salle Explorers Khalil Brantley. The junior was playing well throughout their first four games of the season and thanks in part to his play they are undefeated coming into this game against Duke on Tuesday night. He comes into this game as the leading scorer for the Explorer, and he will be looking to record another quality performance here on Tuesday night and their toughest test of the season against a top 10 ranked Duke team. He comes into this game averaging around 18 points per game throughout their first four games of the season and he will be looking to equal and surpass that number here on Tuesday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium as they look for a massive upset of Duke. He will arguably need to play one of the best games of his career if they want to complete this upset of Duke on the road in Durham. Regardless of the outcome of this game I still expect Brantley to go over his total points here in this one on Tuesday night.

My first pick for this game is for the Tennessee Volunteers Dalton Knecht. He has been leading the way for this Tennessee team throughout the early part of the regular season, and he is coming off of a quality performance in the opening round of this tournament as well. He put up 17 points in the opening game of the tournament and he will be looking to replicate that performance in the second round of this tournament as they look to take down the number two team in the country here on Tuesday night. He comes into this game as the leading scorer for the Tennessee Volunteers as he averages around 20 points per game throughout their first a few games of the regular season, and he will be looking to surpass that number in this game on Tuesday night against Purdue, as Tennessee looks for a massive résumé building victory early on in the season. Regardless of the outcome of this game I still look for Dalton Knecht to go over his total points in this game on Tuesday night.
My second pick for this game is for the Purdue Boilermakers Zach Edey. He is widely considered to be the best player in the country, and it was a shock to many people when he decided to come back for his senior season, rather than go to the NBA. So far it has paid off for him and Purdue and he will be looking to record another quality performance in the second game of this tournament here on Tuesday night against Tennessee. He has led the way for Purdue throughout the entirety of his career, and I expect more of the same amount of him in this second round tournament matchup here on Tuesday night in this top 10 clash against Tennessee. He put up 25 points in their opening round victory over the Gonzaga Bulldogs, and I expect a similar performance out of him for the second night in a row on Tuesday against Tennessee. I look for Zach Edey to go over his total points in this game as Purdue looks to remain undefeated on the season with a résumé building victory here in this one.

My first pick for this game is for the Kansas Jayhawks, Hunter Dickinson. My second pick for this game is for the Kansas Jayhawks and the Marquette Golden Eagles to combine to go over their total points line here in this game on Tuesday night. This game features too highflying offenses, and they would likely go back-and-forth trading buckets throughout this game on Tuesday night as they look for a spot in the finals of this tournament. This is going to be a back-and-forth game throughout the entire entirety of the contest, and it is going to be a high scoring one as these two teams feature some of the best offensive players in the country so far this season. Both teams have multiple digit scores on their roster who can light up the scoreboard every night and that is exactly what I expect in this game on Tuesday night in this massive matchup in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational. As I could easily see this game reaching the 80 point mark by the time halftime comes around and easily surpassing the 100 point Mark with plenty of time to go in the second half as well.
