My first pick for this game is for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and South Alabama Jaguars to combine to go over their total points in this game. Both of these teams were scoring at a high rate over the course of the season and I expect that to continue in the New Orleans Bowl. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are averaging around 35 and a half points per game while South Alabama is putting up over thirty points per game as well with their 31 and a half point average. This is going to be an old fashioned back and forth offensive shootout.
My second pick for this game is for the South Alabama Jaguars to pick up the win against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. This will be their first bowl victory in school history and I think they will get the job done with their high powered offense. They finished the season on a five game winning streak and I expect them to keep that momentum up in this game.

Baylor @ Air Force – 7:30PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Baylor Bears and Air Force Falcons to go over their total combined points in this game. Both of these teams have been scoring at a high rate all season long and I expect it to continue in this bowl game. Baylor puts up around 33 and a half points per game and Air Force comes into this one averaging around 27 and a half points per game this season. This one could easily end up with fifty plus points scored in my opinion.
My second pick for this game is for the Baylor Bears to pick up the win and cover the spread against the Air Force Falcons in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl. This one might be close for a while but in the end I think Baylor will do enough and pull away for the win over the Air Force Academy. As I think Baylor just has too much offensive firepower to be stopped in this one.

Friday, December 23rd
Louisiana @ Houston – 3PM ET
My first pick for this game is for Louisiana and Houston to combine to go over their total points in this game. This is likely going to be the high scoring game of the early bowl season as these two teams score a ton of points per game. Louisiana comes into this one averaging around 27 points per game while the Houston Cougars put up 37 and a half points per game with their impressive quick hitting offense.
My second pick for this game is for the Houston Cougars to pick up the win over Louisiana. This should be a high scoring game between these two top mid-major schools. But in the end I think Houston’s offense is too hot at the moment to be stopped. I think they will put up about 40 or more points in this one en route to a big win in the bowl game to cap off the season.

Wake Forest @ Missouri – 6:30PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and the Missouri Tigers to combine to go over their total points in this game. These two power five schools should put up a ton of points in this game and I expect it to continue in this bowl game. Wake Forest comes into this game averaging around 36 and a half points per game while Missouri comes into this one averaging around 25 and a half points per game.
My second pick for this game is for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to pick up the victory over the Missouri Tigers in this bowl game. This one likely isn’t going to be very close by the time that the clock finally runs out as I expect Wake Forest to pull away and get themselves a commanding win. Missouri’s offense just isn’t good enough to keep up with them in my opinion as their inability to score points will come back to haunt them.

Saturday, December 24th
MTSU @ San Diego State – 8PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders and the San Diego State Aztecs to combine to go over their total points in this game on Christmas Eve. This is likely going to be one of the highest scoring bowl games of the 2022-23 college football season. As both of these teams are very capable of putting up a ton of points in a short amount of the time. MTSU comes into this one averaging around 29 and a half points per game while SDSU averages around 21 and a half points per game.
My second pick for this game is for the San Diego State Aztecs to pick up the victory over the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders in this game. This should be a solid back and forth competitive game between these two mid-majors but in the end I think it’ll be the Aztecs who pull out the win. As their defense has been equally as solid as their offense has been all season long and I expect that to be the difference in this one.
