My first pick for this game is for the Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers. He showed plenty of potential last season when he lit up Alabama early on in the year before getting injured midway through the game. Had he not gone out with an injury it is likely Texas would’ve won that game by a wide margin rather than lose close like they did. I expect him to open up the 2023-24 college football season with an impressive performance against Rice and prove the doubters wrong, as a lot of people expect him to get passed up by Archie Manning on the depth chart midway through the season. As I look for Quinn Ewers to have a solid opening game to the season and go over his total touchdown passes here on Saturday afternoon at home.
My second pick for this game is for the Texas Longhorns to pick up the victory over the Rice Owls to open up the season. This game arguably shouldn’t be close, as Texas should have no problem grabbing a season opening victory over their in-state opponents. That is exactly what I expect as I look for this game to be all Texas throughout all four quarters and for the Longhorns to open up the season with a statement victory against the Owls. I expect their starting quarterback Quinn Ewers to play a big part in the outcome of this game as well and for his performance to lead Texas to a blowout victory to open up the season.

My first pick for this game is for the Notre Dame quarterback, Sam Hartman. His Notre Dame debut was a fantastic one as he threw for touchdown passes in their blowout victory over the Naval Academy. Now he will be looking to replicate that performance in his second game of the season and his first home game at the University of Notre Dame against FCS school Tennessee State. I expect Sam Hartman to do exactly that here on Saturday afternoon, as Notre Dame looks to pick up their second victory of the season, and I expect Sam Hartman to play a major role in that victory. As I look for him to go over his total touchdown passes here on Saturday afternoon in South Bend.
My second pick for this game is for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to pick up the victory and cover the spread against Tennessee State here on Saturday afternoon in South Bend. Notre Dame are the clear favorites here in this game against Tennessee State, and they should have no trouble grabbing a second consecutive victory to pick up their second win of the season before heading into tougher competition down the line. My first pick for this game is for the USC quarterback in the Heisman Trophy winner from last season, Caleb Williams. He had an impressive performance in the opening game of the season against San Jose State last weekend, and he will be looking to replicate that performance in game number two of the year against Nevada as well. He will be on the chase to win his second consecutive Heisman Trophy this season and he can make a huge step forward in doing so by having another impressive performance in the Trojans second game of the year. I expect him to have a quality game here on Saturday night at home and go over his total touchdown passes against Nevada as USC looks to pick up their second victory of the season.
My second pick for this game is for the USC Trojans to pick up the victory and cover the spread against the Nevada Wolf Pack here on Saturday night at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
