My second pick for this game is for the New York Mets to pick up the victory over the Cincinnati Reds in game one of their series. These teams have had entirely different seasons and the Mets have too much talent to not pick up the win in this game, the series win, and potentially even a sweep of the Reds.

Washington Nationals @ Chicago Cubs – 8:05PM ET
My first pick for this game is For the Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Keegan Thompson. He has been one of the few bright spots for the cubbies this season and every time he pitches this team seemingly just comes to life. He has picked up eight victories in his first 22 appearances of the season and is averaging around five innings pitched per appearance.
My second pick for this game is for the Chicago Cubs to pick up the win over the Washington Nationals in game one of their series. While both teams have been particularly bad this season, the Nationals have been at a worse level and are the worst team in Major League Baseball. With Keegan Thompson on the mound the Cubs should have no problem picking up the win in this one.

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Arizona Diamondbacks – 9:40PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen. He has been one of the lone bright spots for this Diamondbacks team this season. He has picked up six victories in his first 20 appearances on the year. He is averaging around 5 1/2 innings pitched per appearance and I have him going over his total outs in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the Arizona Diamondbacks to pick up the victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates and game one of their series. With Gallen on the mound I think the Diamondbacks have the clear advantage in this one as they have the better pitcher and won’t need to produce as much on offense. As I look for him to shut down this Pirates offense here on Monday evening.

San Francisco Giants @ San Diego Padres – 9:40PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Wood. While he does have a losing record on the year it’s because he’s faced some tough competition and this game will be no different. He is averaging around five innings pitched per appearance and I have him going over his total outs in this game as I look for this to be somewhat of a pitchers duel.
My second pick for this game is for the San Diego Padres to pick up the victory over the San Francisco Giants and game one of their series. The Padres have been far better than the Giants this year which is a huge turnaround after San Diego collapsed last season and San Francisco finished as the best team in baseball. However, San Diego is in a better position to win at the moment and I have them taking the win in game one.

My first pick for this game is for the New York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon. He is certainly putting himself in the Cy Young conversation as he has picked up ten victories in his first 21 appearances on the year.
