St.Louis Cardinals @ Pittsburgh Pirates – 11:35AM ET
My first pick for this game is for the St.Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Mike Mikolas. He is off to a solid start to the season, and he will be looking to pick up a victory in the finale of the series against Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon. Mikolas comes into this game with four victories under his belt this season and he will be looking to pick up his fifth victory of the season in this one against the Pirates. However, his 3.75 ERA has been a bit of a concern so far this season and he will be looking to lower that number here on Sunday. He comes into this game averaging around five and a half innings pitched per appearance. I expect him to go over his total outs in this one.
My second pick for this game is for the St. Louis Cardinals to pick up the victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the finale of this series on Sunday afternoon. Despite consecutive losses to Pittsburgh, I have to give St. Louis the advantage in this third and final game of the series because Mike Mikolas is taking the mound for them. I expect him to lead the way and shut down a Pittsburgh offense that has scored a pile of runs on St. Louis over the last two games. I looked for the St. Louis Cardinals to get a comfortable victory here on Sunday afternoon and avoid being swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates in this three game series.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Boston Red Sox – 1:35PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Tampa Bay Rays Wander Franco. He has been one of the best hitters in baseball this season, and I look for him to have another impressive day at the plate in the finale of the series against the Boston Red Sox. In the first game of the Rays doubleheader against Boston on Saturday afternoon he went three for five at the plate but he did not feature in game number two when the Rays got the victory. He is among the league leaders in batting average this season and I’ll look for him to increase his average in this game on Sunday afternoon. As I have Wander Franco going over his total hits against the Boston Red Sox.
My second pick for this game is for the Boston Red Sox Alex Verdugo. He has been hitting the baseball well throughout the early part of the season and I’ll look for that to continue in the finale of the series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park. Verdugo had a productive day at the plate during their doubleheader against Tampa Bay as he has been hitting the ball well over the weekend. Despite a lackluster performance in game number two of the doubleheader, he drove in a pair of runs in game number one and helped the Red Sox pick up the victory. I expect him to go over his total hits here in the third and final game of the series on Sunday.

Toronto Blue Jays @ New York Mets – 1:40PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi. He is off to a great start this season, and he will be looking to keep it rolling in the finale of this three game weekend series against the New York Mets. He comes into this game with six victories to his name this season, and he will be looking to pick up victory number seven here against New York on Sunday afternoon. He will also be looking to lower his 4.47 Earned Run Average in this start against a loaded New York Mets lineup. This will only be his second start on the road in his last five starts of the season, and he will be looking to get comfortable pitching away from home again. He comes into this game averaging around five and a half innings pitched per appearance this season and I have him going over his total outs in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the Toronto Blue Jays to pick up the victory of the New York Mets and the finale of this three-game series at Citi Field on Sunday afternoon. This series has been a back-and-forth series between two potential sleeper teams to win it all this season and this finale could arguably go either way. However, I have to give Toronto the advantage of this one with Kikuchi taking the mound for them in the finale. Toronto has all the momentum in this one as they have picked up the first two victories of this series, and now they will be looking to complete the sweep here on Sunday. That is exactly what I expect as I have the Blue Jays picking up the win over the Mets.

Cleveland Guardians @ Minnesota Twins – 2:10PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Triston McKenzie. After suffering an injury in spring training that kept him sidelined for the first couple months of the season, he will be making his season debut against Minnesota here on Sunday. He should be well rested, recovered, and ready to go against Minnesota as the Cleveland Guardians look to win their second consecutive game in this four game weekend series. Cleveland will be desperate to pick up a series split here in this one on Sunday and with McKenzie on the mound that is very possible. I expect him to get his season underway with a positive start and go over his total outs on Sunday afternoon against Minnesota.
My second pick for this game is for the Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Joe Ryan. He is off to an incredible start this season, and he comes into this game looking to help Minnesota take three out of four games from their arch rivals here on Sunday. Ryan has seven victories on the season and he will be looking to pick up victory number eight as he makes his second appearance of the season against the Cleveland Guardians. The last time he faced Cleveland he went six innings and gave up only two runs, but unfortunately he ended up with the loss as his offense let him down that night in Cleveland. He comes into this game averaging around 5 1/2 innings pitched per appearance this season and I have him going over his total outs on Sunday afternoon.

Chicago Cubs @ San Diego Padres – 5:30PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the San Diego Padres Fernando Tatís. Ever since he returned from a suspension he has been tattooing the baseball and I expect that to continue in this game against the Chicago Cubs on Sunday at home. He hit a home run in the game on Saturday night against the Chicago Cubs and I expect that momentum to carry over into Sunday’s finale at Petco Park as well. As I look for Tatis to have a productive day at the plate as San Diego wraps up this series with Chicago at home. I expect Tatis to be instrumental in the outcome of this game and go over his total hits here on Sunday afternoon.
My second pick for this game is for the San Diego Padres to pick up the victory over the Chicago Cubs in the finale of their series on Sunday afternoon. The Padres are a threat to win any game because of how loaded their lineup is and I expect them to take full advantage of that in this one against Marcus Stroman and the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. I expect this game to be a high scoring back-and-forth contest, but in the end, I think the San Diego Padres will pick up a comfortable victory to close out the series. As I look for the Padres to put a ton of runs on the board in this one on Sunday at home.
