This Eastern Conference matchup could either be really good or really bad. As the Toronto Raptors are set to take on the Orlando Magic. The Raptors are looking to stay out of the playoff play in round, while the Magic are towards the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference.

My first pick for this game is the Toronto Raptors all star point guard Fred VanVleet. The start of his NBA career was rough as he went undrafted but now he has blossomed into one of the best point guards in the National Basketball Association. I expect VanVleet to put up another big performance in this one as he looks to help the Toronto Raptors close out the regular season by avoiding the playoff play-in round. In the Raptors last game, VanVleet put up decent numbers as he scored 12 points and 8 assists, and I look for him to replicate that performance again in this one.
My second pick for this game is Toronto Raptors big man Pascal Siakam. In the Raptors win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Siakam put up a triple-double in one of his best performances of the season. He is getting hot at the right time and is starting to resemble his play he had during the Raptors 2019 playoff run that resulted in an NBA championship. That is why I have Siakam putting up another huge performance in this game against the Orlando Magic, as the Eve Yale season comes down to its final stretch.

Dallas Mavericks @ Washington Wizards – 7pm ET
The Dallas Mavericks will be looking to keep the momentum rolling before heading into the NBA playoffs. While the Washington Wizards are sitting towards the bottom of the Eastern Conference this season. This Eastern Conference vs Western Conference matchup could be an ugly one.

My first pick for this game is the Dallas Mavericks franchise cornerstone Luka Doncic. Luka is certainly a future basketball hall of fame member if his career remains on the path it is on now. Doncic has the Dallas Mavericks playing spectacularly this season as they have been one of the top teams in the Western Conference. He is averaging 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists this season. He could potentially bring home his first Most Valuable Player award this season. I expect him to put up a big time performance in this one as the Mavericks are looking for a ton of momentum to end the regular season.
My second pick for this game is a Dallas Mavericks victory over the Washington Wizards. The Mavericks are clearly the more talented team on paper and on the basketball court this season. Dallas should have no problem getting the victory over the Washington Wizards in this one. Washington is having a rough year and likely has a multi year rebuild ahead of them but with Kyle Kuzma and the Unicorn Kristaps they have a good head start. However, Luka’s talent will be too much for the Wizards in this one.

This Eastern Conference matchup is following a recurring theme for some of Friday’s games as it pits one team doing well this season against a team sitting towards the bottom of the standings. As the Indiana Pacers will be shipping up to Boston to play the Boston Celtics.

My first pick for this game is the Indiana Pacers Tyrese Halliburton. Since coming to the Pacers, Halliburton has made a difference both in the locker room and on the basketball court. He has put up some good numbers at times both when scoring and passing the basketball. Despite the poor season this year the Indiana Pacers made the right move for their long term future when they traded for Tyrese Halliburton earlier this season before the trade deadline. I look for him to put up another big performance against the Boston Celtics in this one.
My second pick for this game is the previously mentioned Boston Celtics franchise cornerstone Jayson Tatum. Tatum has been the main man for the Celtics over the past couple of years and he is also one of the best young players in the National Basketball Association. In the Celtics last game Tatum put on a spectacular performance by scoring 23 points and adding ten rebounds and six assists. I expect another big time performance from him in this one as the Celtics will look to end the regular season with some momentum.

Phoenix Suns @ Memphis Grizzlies – 8pm ET
Under any other circumstances this would be one of the best games of the day. This is also a potential Western Conference finals preview. But the Phoenix Suns don’t have much left to play for down the stretch. So I could see them resting key players with only a couple games left until the playoffs.

My first pick for this game is the Memphis Grizzlies franchise cornerstone, Ja Morant. Morant has been having a terrific year and despite missing a few games due to injury is still very involved in the Most Valuable Player award winner conversion in my opinion. I look for Morant to have another big game in this one as the Grizzlies try to get a huge momentum boosting victory over the top team in the National Basketball Association, the Phoenix Suns. I could easily see Morant getting a double-double in this one.
My second pick for this game is a Memphis Grizzlies victory over the Phoenix Suns. While in a regular game I would take the Phoenix Suns straight up, this is different. The Suns have already locked up the top seed in the National Basketball Association. They will have home court advantage throughout the postseason. So the Memphis Grizzlies are the best choice in this one as they are the team that still has something to play for in this one and that is a better seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Denver Nuggets – 9pm ET
This one is going to be a good one as both of these teams still have something to fight for this season. As the Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Denver Nuggets in a huge all Western Conference matchup on Friday night.

My first pick for this game is Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl Anthony Towns. Since coming out of Kentucky, Karl Anthony Towns has been a force in the National Basketball Association. He was this year’s winner of the three point shooting contest at all star weekend in Cleveland. He is perhaps the best shooting big man in the history of the league as well. I am expecting a big game out of Towns in this one as it feels like a must win for the Minnesota Timberwolves against a good Denver Nuggets team that features the reigning Most Valuable Player award winner.
My second pick for this game is the previously mentioned reigning and defending Most Valuable Player award winner, Nikola Jokic. As I expect Jokic to put up another masterful performance as he looks to bolster his chances to win a second straight MVP award. I could easily see Jokic putting up a double-double or even a triple-double in this huge game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. As of right now Jokic is my favorite to win his second straight Most Valuable Player award at season’s end.
