My first pick for this game is the Cleveland Cavaliers all star point guard and franchise cornerstone Darius Garland. As I look for Garland to have a big game opposite of Kyrie Irving in this one as he tries to get the Cavs a much needed victory. These two teams will likely meet again in the playoff play-in round but with a win the Cavaliers would earn the right to host the playoff play-in games, instead of having to go on the road for them. I look for Garland to go over his total points mark in this game.

My second pick for this game is the Brooklyn Nets superstar point guard Kyrie Irving. Irving will be facing his old team in this one and I expect him to deliver a masterful performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers. When he has been on the court this season he has put up some big games and I expect more of the same from him in this one as the Brooklyn Nets are in a must win situation. I look for this game to pretty much be a back and forth shootout between Darius Garland and Kyrie Irving.

Atlanta Hawks @ Miami Heat – 8pm ET
My first pick for this game is the former Oklahoma Sooners star Trae Young. The Hawks are in a must win situation in this one and not many players in the NBA can step up to the plate like Trae Young can. I look for Young to put up a great performance against the Atlanta Hawks Southeast division rival the Miami Heat. I could easily see Young dropping a 20 point 10 assist type of performance in this one as he tries to get the Atlanta Hawks into a position to host one of the play-in round games.

My second pick for this game is the Miami Heat’s all star shooting Jimmy Butler. The Miami Heat culture fits Jimmy Butler perfectly as it is all about hard work and effort and those two qualities is what makes Butler the star he is today. Butler is one of the best two players in the National Basketball Association and he shows it every time he steps onto the basketball court. I think he will show it again in this one as he looks to get the Miami Heat a big win and keep their momentum up for a deep NBA playoff run.

Charlotte Hornets @ Chicago Bulls – 8pm ET
My first pick for this game is the Charlotte Hornets franchise cornerstone and former Rookie Of The Year award winner LaMelo Ball. Ball has played well this season and has the Charlotte Hornets in line for a playoff play-in round berth in only his second season in the National Basketball Association. The Hornets will be without Gordon Hayward in this one as well which means Ball will have an even bigger role in a must win game. If the Hornets win this one they can put themselves in a great position to host their play-in round matchup.

My second pick for this game is a Chicago Bulls win over the Charlotte Hornets in this game. The Bulls are clearly the more talented team in this game both on paper and on the court and I think that will be reflected on the scoreboard in this game. I expect this game to be close and go down to the final minute or even seconds, but in the end even with a clutch performance from LaMelo Ball I think the Charlotte Hornets will fall short and seal their fate as a road team in the play-in round.

Phoenix Suns @ Utah Jazz – 9:30pm ET
My first pick for this game is the Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert. Despite the Utah Jazz having a playoff spot secured heading into this one, they still have an opportunity to win their division so I expect the Jazz to still play their stars. Gobert is an absolute force year in and year out and I expect another big time game from him in this one as the Jazz look to close in on a division title and move up in the Western Conference standings prior to the playoffs.

My second pick for this game is a Utah Jazz victory over the league leading Phoenix Suns in this game at home on Friday evening. The Phoenix Suns will likely show up playing their B team and I think Utah should have no problem getting an easy win in this matchup. The Jazz have been playing great all season long and are potentially a dark horse team to win the NBA championship.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Los Angeles Lakers – 10:30pm ET
My first pick for this game is for both teams to go under on their total points as neither of these teams are likely going to play their superstars in this one as this game is basically meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Both teams have already been eliminated from the NBA playoffs and this is nothing more than an exhibition game at this point in this year.
LeBron James’ left ankle was recently reevaluated by Lakers medical staff, and it was determined that due to the ankle sprain James suffered in a game on March 27th, he will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 NBA season to allow for continued healing and an expected full recovery.

My second pick for this game is a Los Angeles Lakers victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Lakers have more talent than the Thunder even with both of these teams likely emptying their benches in this game. As well as the fact that the Thunder are likely tanking for a better pick this makes the choice even easier as to why I think the Lakers get the victory in this one.
