Lebron James is set to return home again as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers for this one. If rumors are believed to be true it may not be long before the king is back in the wine and gold either. While the Lakers have struggled with him, the Cavaliers have thrived without him this season. As Los Angeles is looking like a one and done in the playoffs and Cleveland has some serious pieces that could carry them on a long run.

My first pick for this game is the previously mentioned Lebron James. Over the last couple of weeks Lebron has tried to take it upon himself to carry the Los Angeles Lakers and he has been seemingly scoring at will. He is also on pace to break the all time scoring record by the middle of next season. With the Lakers getting desperate down the stretch I look for Lebron to try and continue to take over in this game against his former team as well. That is why I’m taking the over on his points total.
My second pick for this game is the Cavs all star point guard Darius Garland. I look for Garland to put up some big scoring and assisting numbers in this game as he tries to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a much needed win as the regular season is winding down. This season Garland has been at his best and has even seemed unstoppable at times when the ball is in his hand on the court. He is the main player in this Cavs offense and he is the biggest reason for their success this season as he is breaking into the top 25 of NBA players in my opinion.

Miami Heat @ Philadelphia 76ers – 7:30pm ET
Two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference will face off in this one as Jimmy Butler will lead the Miami Heat against a Philadelphia 76ers team that will be without its two top players. As both Joel Embiid and James Harden will both miss action in this one. The Heat are currently top dog in the Eastern Conference, while Philadelphia is currently in third place. Miami has already clinched a playoff spot.

My first pick for this game is the previously mentioned Jimmy Butler. Since coming into the league Butler has always been known as a defensive star but his offensive game has developed into A+ play as well over the last handful of seasons. That is why I expect Butler to put up big numbers against a depleted Philadelphia 76ers team in this one as the Heat are on the doorstep of clinching the number one overall seed in the Eastern Conference.
My second pick for this game is a Miami Heat victory in this one. Without Embiid and Harden the Philadelphia 76ers are going to struggle against such an elite team. This means the Miami Heat should have no problem pulling out a big victory on the road in this one. Miami has been consistently good all season long and they find a way to win the tough games, and I think they will do it again in this one. I think Jimmy Butler’s big game will lead to a big win for the Miami Heat in the city of brotherly love.

Utah Jazz @ Brooklyn Nets – 7:30pm ET
The Utah Jazz have been one of the better teams in the Western Conference this season. They will be going up against a Brooklyn Nets team that has struggled as of late and will still be without Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons. The Jazz are currently 45-26 on the season which has them in the top half of the Western Conference while Brooklyn is 37-34 and will likely be on the road for the playoffs, which because of Covid vaccination rules benefits them somehow.

My first pick for this one is the Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant. Without Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons in the lineup, Durant will once again have to carry the load for the struggling Nets. Which is why I am looking for Durant to put up some big scoring numbers in such an important game. Durant is very capable of leading a team by himself during the regular season but when the playoffs come around it may spell an early exit for this once dominant looking super team.
My second pick for this game is a Utah Jazz victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn has been struggling as of late and without two of their best players Utah should have no problem adding to the misery. Utah is a dark horse team in my opinion to make a run to the Western Conference Finals or NBA Finals and potentially even win a title. This could even be a potential finals matchup if Brooklyn ever gets it figured out from now until the first round of the playoffs.

Toronto Raptors @ Chicago Bulls – 8pm ET
The Toronto Raptors are playing well this year and they will meet a familiar face in this one as they play against DeMar Derozan and the Chicago Bulls in the Windy City. The Raptors and Bills will likely both be in the playoffs and could even have a playoff series together this season. The Bulls have been one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference throughout the season but they have struggled as of late.

My first pick for this game is for the Raptors star guard Fred Van Vleet to go over on his total threes in this game. Van Vleet has started to become one of the best guards in the game and is incredibly consistent which is why I look for another big time performance in this big time game on the road. He is looking to add another NBA Championship Ring to his collection and if the Raptors can get hot at the right time he may very well do that this season.
My second pick for this game is for Chicago Bulls superstar DeMar DeRozan to put up big numbers against his old team. DeRozan missed out on the championship party in Toronto after he was traded for Kawhi Leonard in 2016. Now everytime he plays against the Raptors he seems like he plays with a chip on his shoulder which is why I expect a big performance in this matchup on Monday evening. This one should be a shootout between the Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Dallas Mavericks – 8:30pm ET
Karl Anthony Towns and Luka Doncic take center stage in this one as the Minnesota Timberwolves will play the Dallas Mavericks in this one on Monday in big D. This game is going to be a shootout between Luka and KAT in my opinion as both teams will be looking for a big win in this one. Minnesota comes into this game with a record of 42-30 while Dallas is 43-28. Minnesota is currently in sixth place while Dallas holds a1.5 game lead over Minnesota in fifth place.

My first and second pick for this one is the previously mentioned Karl Anthony Towns and Luka Doncic. I look for Towns and Doncic both to put up big numbers and make a couple three’s as they look to get the Timberwolves or Mavericks a big win in this game. Towns and Doncic have both been dominant all season long and both of them are in the race to win the Most Valuable Player award this season in my opinion. This is why I expect another big performance from both of them in this game.
