Milwaukee Bucks @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 5pm ET

Both of these teams are in great positions as the regular season is winding down. As they will both likely make the playoffs and could even make a deep run in the postseason as well. For Milwaukee it’s about defending their NBA Championship and for the Minnesota Timberwolves it’s about getting to the NBA finals and winning a title for the first time in franchise history. 

My first pick for this game is the Timberwolves sharp shooting big man out of Kentucky, Karl Anthony Towns. He has been on fire this year and even won the NBA All-Star weekend three point contest this season. I look for him to hit some threes in this game as he tries to give his Timberwolves team a big win over the defending champions. That is why I have Karl Anthony Towns going over his total three pointers made in this game.

My second pick is a Milwaukee Bucks win over the Timberwolves. While I expect Karl Anthony Towns and Minnesota to put up a fight, I think in the end the Bucks will pull away to get the win. I also look for Giannis to be a big contributor in that win. The Bucks have been hot as of late as they look to regain possession of first place in the Eastern Conference. They are only a couple games back of the Miami Heat as the regular season is coming to a close.

Dallas Mavericks @ Charlotte Hornets – 7pm ET

The Dallas Mavericks are positioned to make a championship run this season led by potential Most Valuable Player award winner Luka Doncic. Meanwhile the Charlotte Hornets still have some ways to go in their rebuild but they have made significant progress over the last couple of years. This one will also feature Luka Doncic vs LaMelo Ball which should be an exciting back and forth between the two young stars. 

My first pick for this one is the previously mentioned Luka Doncic, as I look for Doncic to put up a big game and stop the Mavericks recent run of less than stellar play. When Luka is hot he is nearly unstoppable and that’s what I’m looking for in this game as I think he will take control of the game and make sure the Mavericks get the much needed victory. In my opinion he is one of the front runners to win the Most Valuable Player award this season. 

My second pick for this game is the other young star I previously mentioned, the Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball. I look for the youngest Ball brother to have a big game to try and match Luka Doncic’s performance on Saturday afternoon. I look for Ball to hit the over on his points total as well as Luka to hit the over on his points total as well.

Detroit Pistons @ Cleveland Cavaliers – 8pm ET

These two Central division rivals will meet in Cleveland on Saturday night. Both of these teams were predicted to be towards the lottery draft this season. However, it didn’t quite happen that way as the Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the best teams in the league this season and it came as a shocking surprise to everyone. Now the Cavs will look to clinch their playoff spot this season against a lackluster Detroit team.

My first pick for this game is the Cleveland Cavaliers all-star point guard Darius Garland. He has had a breakout campaign this season and will only ascend from here. He is quickly becoming one of the top young stars in the league and he has the Cavaliers way ahead of their rebuild plans. I look for another big game in this one from Garland as he tries to carry the Cavs away from the play-in round with Toronto hot on their trail. 

My second pick for this game is a Cleveland Cavaliers victory as I believe the Cavs should have no problem pulling away in this game. Cleveland is clearly the more talented team on paper and on the basketball court and it should show on Saturday night. The Cavs have struggled a big lately thanks to the injury bug but they are starting to recover just in time for the playoffs. So as far as this game is concerned I have Garland going over points and the Cavs getting the victory.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Washington Wizards – 8pm ET

Both of these have been disappointments this season but for entirely different reasons. Everyone expected the Los Angeles Lakers to compete for an NBA championship but they are in danger of missing the playoffs. While people expected Washington to maybe compete for a playoff spot but they are one of the worst teams in the league. Los Angeles is desperate for wins down the stretch as they will likely be stuck in the play-in round. 

My first pick in this game is the Lakers superstar Lebron James. Lebron has been taking over games lately and he will have to continue to do so if he wants to hang around the playoffs for more than a couple of games this season. Lebron is the greatest of all time and he shows it when he takes the court and I think he will show it again in this game as he tries to will the Los Angeles Lakers to a much needed win. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him go for 50 plus in this one.

My second pick for this game is Kyle Kuzma to go over his points total as I think he will play with a chip on his shoulder since he is going against his old team. Since leaving the bright lights of Los Angeles, Kuzma has blossomed into a decent player on his own and is one of the top players in the East for the Wizards this year. I look for him to have another big game as he tries to prove to the Lakers that they made a mistake by letting him go.
