My first pick for this game is for the Atlanta Hawks superstar point guard and franchise cornerstone Trae Young. The former Oklahoma Sooners star had an incredible performance in the Hawks play-in game win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. Young scored 38 points and hit multiple clutch threes down the stretch to propel the Hawks to 107-101 win in Cleveland. Now I expect him to repeat this performance in this round one game one matchup against the Miami Heat.

My second pick for this game is for the Miami Heats superstar shooting guard Jimmy Butler. I’ve said it since he came to South Beach, Jimmy Butler exemplifies the Miami Heat culture of hard work and hustle. That is why he is such a perfect fit in Miami and that is why they have played so well all season long. I have him going over his points total in this one as I expect this game to be a shootout between Trae Young and Jimmy Butler. As these two Southeast division rivals look to get a win and a leg up over the other in game one of this series.

Brooklyn Nets @ Boston Celtics – 3:30pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the best player on the planet in my opinion Kevin Durant. I expect Durant to have a huge game against the Boston Celtics in this one. As the Nets may be the best seventh seed in the history of the National Basketball Association. Durant is capable of scoring 30 a night easily and he makes it look so effortless as well when he does it. If he gets on a roll the Brooklyn Nets should cruise to a game one victory over the Boston Celtics in this one.

My second pick for this game is for the other Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving. We all saw what Kyrie Irving did against his first former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers in the play-in game. The man could not miss from anywhere on the court. I think he will put on an even better performance against his second former team the Boston Celtics in this one. As he will certainly take this series personally and make sure that the Brooklyn Nets get through to the second round.

Chicago Bulls @ Milwaukee Bucks – 6:30pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Chicago Bulls superstar shooting guard DeMar Derozan. As I expect DeRozan to put up a great performance in game one against the reigning and defending NBA champions. DeRozan has been playing great all season long alongside Zach LaVine and they have the Chicago Bulls in their best position in years to win a championship in this year’s playoffs. That is why I expect DeRozan to step up in this game and try to get the Bulls a 1-0 lead in this first round series.

My second pick for this game is for the former two time Most Valuable Player award winner Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak is one of the most dominant players in the National Basketball Association when he is on his A game. I look for him to have one of those types of games in this one as the Milwaukee Bucks start their run towards a second straight NBA championship in this game. I can easily see Giannis dropping 30 plus points on the Bulls.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Phoenix Suns – 9pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Phoenix Suns Devin Booker. Booker is one of the best volume shooters in the league and when he gets hot he stays hot and I think he is going to be on fire in this game. I look for Booker to put up at least north of 25 points in this one as he tries to get the Phoenix Suns back to the NBA finals for the second straight season. Booker is a future Most Valuable Player award winner in my opinion and I think he will show why in this huge first round matchup.

My second pick for this game is for the Phoenix Suns to get the victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. There is no doubt about it that the New Orleans Pelicans have a ton of heart. It showed in their incredible victory over the Los Angeles Clippers to get them into this matchup. But I think all the talent that the Phoenix Suns possess is just going to be too much for them in this one as I look for guys like Ayton, Paul and Booker to have a field day against the Pelicans.
