My first pick for this game is for the Connecticut Huskies Alex Karaban. He was a massive part of their national championship team last season, and he always seems to step up to another level in a huge game. This is one of those huge games for the Connecticut Huskies and I expect him to do exactly that here on Friday night on the road in the Pacific Northwest. He has been putting up quality numbers throughout the early part of the regular season and he will look to maintain those numbers throughout this game on Friday night against Gonzaga. He comes into this game sitting in third in points per game for Connecticut this season as he is averaging around 15 points per game throughout their first 10 games of the regular season. However, as I previously mentioned, he tends to step up his level of play in the biggest games of the season. That is exactly what I expect out of him here on Friday night as I look for him to go over his total points against the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
My second pick for this game is for the Gonzaga Bulldogs Graham Ike. He has been leading the way for Gonzaga throughout their first 10 games of the season and his play has helped lead them to this fantastic start of the year as well. He comes into this game as their leading score, and he will look to record another quality performance here on Friday night at home against Connecticut. They will need him to score every bit of average plus more if they want to beat the defending national champions here at home on Friday night. He comes into this game averaging 14 points per game this season and he has been a monster on the boards as well as he is averaging around eight rebounds per game, which has led to some easy buckets for him throughout the year. I expect him to put up another quality scoring performance in this game on Friday night against the Connecticut Huskies as I look for him to go over his total points here in this one at home.
