My first pick for this game is for the Miami Hurricanes Wooga Poplar. He has put up fantastic numbers through their first two games of the season, and he will be looking to record another quality performance here on Monday night at home as they look to pick up a third consecutive victory to open up the year. He comes into this game as the leading scorer for the Miami Hurricanes throughout their first two contests, as he is averaging over 20 points per game and he will be looking to record another 20+ points performance here on Monday night against Florida International. He has been shooting the basketball, pretty efficiently as he is around the 58% mark from the field throughout their first two games of the season and he will be looking to replicate that performance here on Monday night as well as he looks for an efficient, 20+ point performance in this game. I expect him to put up quality numbers in this one and go over his total points here on Monday night at home against Florida International.
My second pick for this game is for the Florida International Panthers Jayden Brewer. he has been one of the few bright spots for this Florida International team throughout their first two games of the season as he is averaging nearly 10 points per game on the year. The sophomore has also been attacking the boards throughout their first two games as he is also averaging five rebounds per game on the year. He will be looking to record another quality performance here on Monday night on the road against a top 25 ranked Miami team as the Panthers look for their first victory of the season. It will take a pretty solid performance from Brewer in this game to try and lead the Panthers to a top 25 upset and regardless of the result I still expect him to go over his total points here on Monday night against the Miami Hurricanes.

#22 Villanova @ Penn – 7pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Villanova Wildcats Justin Moore. He is off to a solid start this season, and he comes into this game as the leading scorer for Villanova through their first couple of games on the season. He has been a model of consistency for this program over the last four years, and he will be looking to keep it up with another quality game here tonight. He comes into this game averaging nearly 16 points per game on the year but he will need to be shooting a lot more efficiently from the field if he wants to maintain that pace. As he is shooting the basketball at a 48% clip throughout their first two games of the season, and that will need to improve as they get deeper into the year and face off against more competitive teams. I look for quality numbers in this big game against here on Monday night on the road as Villanova looks to pick up a victory over one of their fellow Philadelphia schools. I expect Justin Moore to be the catalyst in this game and I look for him to go over his total points here on Monday night for Villanova.
My second pick for this game is for Penn Quakers freshman Tyler Perkins. His college basketball career is off to a solid start as he is averaging double digit points per game through his first three games of the season. He will be looking to record another quality performance here on Monday night at home in this massive rivalry matchup, as Penn looks to upset top 25 ranked Villanova. He has been a monster for the Quakers throughout their first three games of the season as he is averaging about 16 points per game on top of his eight rebounds per game average as well. When they play at home, he is averaging a double double as he is putting up about 20 points per game and 10 rebounds per game in front of their home crowd. That is why I look for him to have another quality performance here on Monday night at home against Villanova as they look for a massive upset early on in the year. I expect Tyler Perkins to lead the way and go over his total points in this game on Monday night.

Stetson @ #7 Houston – 8pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Stetson Hatters Jalen Blackmon. He has put up some quality numbers throughout the early part of the regular season for Stetson and he will be looking to record his best performance to date here on Monday night in Houston. he comes into this game averaging nearly 20 points per game throughout the young season, and he will be looking to replicate that performance here on Monday night as they look for a program changing victory here against the Cougars. Despite averaging 20 points per game he will need to shoot the basketball a little bit more efficiently as he is currently shooting around 45% from the field and that will need to improve if they want to pull off an upset in this game. He is coming off an 18 point performance against UNLV and their previous game and he will be looking to surpass that here on Monday. I look for him to put up a quality performance here on Monday night against Houston and I look for Jalen Blackmon to go over his total points here in this one on the road.
My second pick for this game is for the Houston Cougars guard Emanuel Sharp. He has been fantastic for Houston throughout the early part of this regular season, and he will be looking to record another quality performance here on Monday night at home as they look to remain undefeated. He is putting up around 16 points per game through their first two games of the season, and he will be looking to equal or surpass that number with another great performance here on Monday night in their third game of the year. He will certainly need to shoot the basketball more efficiently as they get deeper into the year and face some tougher competition as he is only shooting the ball around 47% from the field early on in the season. Regardless of that, however, I still look for him to put up a quality performance here on Monday night at home against Stetson, as I look for Sharp to go over his total points as Houston looks to cruise to a3 consecutive victory.

Southern @ #12 Arizona – 8pm ET
My first pick for this game is for Arizona Wildcats guard Caleb Love. The former North Carolina Tar Heels superstar put up a solid performance against Duke in their previous contest, and he will be looking to replicate that performance here on Monday night at home. He comes into this game as one of seven Arizona Wildcats players averaging double digit points throughout the early part of the season, as this is the most efficient team in the country at the moment when it comes to scoring the basketball. I look for Caleb Love to record another double digit performance here on Monday night at home against Southern as Arizona looks to grab another comfortable win and remain undefeated on the season. Although he’s not the leading man on the roster at the moment, or possibly anymore with the talents surrounding him, his contributions could very well lead Arizona to a national championship this season as long as he remains healthy and consistent.
My second pick for this game is for the Arizona Wildcats superstar Kylan Boswell. He comes into this game as the leading scorer for an Arizona team that has several players averaging double digit points per game throughout the first few games of the regular season. As he comes into this game putting up around 15 points per game early on in the year and he will be looking to replicate that performance here on Monday night at home against Southern. He has also been crashing the back boards pretty consistently throughout their first couple of games as he is putting up nearly seven rebounds per game as well. In addition to his scoring and rebounding, he is putting in work on the defensive end of the court averaging two steals per game. I expect him to have an efficient scoring performance here on Monday night at home as I look for Kylan Boswell to also go over his total points in this game for Arizona.

Xavier @ #3 Purdue – 8:30pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Xavier Musketeers Desmond Claude. He is putting up fantastic numbers for Xavier throughout the early part of the year and he will be looking to record another quality performance in this early season marquee matchup against Purdue. He comes into this game as the leading scorer for the Xavier Musketeers as he is averaging around 18 points per game throughout the early part of the season. He is shooting around 50% from the field and he will be looking to improve upon that mark with an efficient scoring performance here on Monday night on the road against Purdue. He is coming off of a couple of solid performances in their opening two victories of the season and he will be looking to record a third consecutive quality performance here on Monday night as they look for an upset of a top three team in the country. Regardless of the outcome of this game, I still expect him to post a quality performance and go over his total points here on Monday night at Mackey Arena.
My second pick for this game is for the Purdue Boilermakers senior and perhaps the best player in the country this season, Zach Edey. He is putting up fantastic numbers throughout the early part of the regular season for Purdue as he comes into this game as their leading scorer. He is putting up around 17 points per game on the season and he has done it pretty efficiently from the field, as he is shooting around 71% early on in the season. He will be looking to record another solid performance here on Monday night at home against Xavier in an early season test for Purdue during the opening game of the Gavitt Tipoff games. He will need to put up quality numbers in this game. If Purdue wants to survive this game against Xavier as the Musketeers are a very solid program that could pull off a victory if you don’t play your best game against them. Regardless of the outcome of this one I still expect Zach Edey to put up solid numbers and go over his total points here on Monday night.
