#16 Texas A&M-CC @ #16 Texas Southern – 6:40pm ET

The Islanders of Texas A&M Corpus Christi are coming in as champions of the Southland Conference Tournament. They finished fourth in the conference during the regular season. The Texas Southern Tigers were champions of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament and finished as runner-ups during the regular season. Now both of these lone star state schools will meet in Dayton, Ohio to determine who gets to play Kansas on Thursday evening. 

My first pick for this game is the over on points total. These mid-major schools usually come to the Big Dance to put on a show and light up the scoreboard. This is why I think this is one of the many games that will hit the over on the over/under for total points in this year’s edition of the tournament. I wouldn’t be shocked if both of these schools hit the 70 point mark in this game as it should be a high-scoring affair for both teams. 

My second pick for this game is a win for the Islanders of Texas A&M at Corpus Christi. They finished the regular season with a record of 23-11 and made a run through the Southland conference tournament to get here and I don’t see their miracle run ending quite yet. This is why I am taking the Islanders to get the win here as their Moneyline should be a favorable one on Tuesday evening. However, don’t get too cocky if they get past this one cause they will have the Kansas Jayhawks waiting for them and that one likely won’t go too well at all. 

March Madness Parlay Pick: Over points & Texas A&M-CC moneyline

#12 Indiana @ #12 Wyoming – 9:10pm ET

The Indiana Hoosiers were as good as gone before they made a nice run in the Big Ten conference tournament. Now they will have to get past a tough Wyoming Cowboys team to keep their run alive and set a date with Saint Mary’s in the round of 64 on Thursday. Wyoming finished the season with a record of 25-8 and will be looking to get a big win in this game over a power five program. This is likely going to be the most interesting of the first four games of this season’s NCAA tournament.

My first pick for this one is the Indiana Hoosiers best player Trace Jackson-Davis. He is going to be the best player on the floor in this matchup and it will show on the stat sheet as he tries to lead his Hoosiers to an NCAA tournament victory in Dayton on Tuesday night. Jackson-Davis has been Mr. reliable all season long for the Hoosiers and I expect more of the same in this win-or-go-home game. I wouldn’t be shocked if he puts up 30 or more points and takes total control in this one. 

My second pick is an Indiana Hoosiers victory as I expect the Hoosiers to edge out the Cowboys in this one. This is going to be a highly competitive game and it may very well come down to the final buzzer but in the end, I think the talent the Hoosiers possess outweighs that of the Wyoming Cowboys. This is why I’m taking the Indiana Hoosiers Moneyline in this one. As I expect the Wyoming Cowboys to keep it close until the very end and I’m taking Jackson-Davis to go over his points total.

#16 Bryant @ #16 Wright State – 6:40pm ET

Both of these schools get the unfortunate fate of getting to play the top-seeded Arizona Wildcats if they win. As the champions of the Northeast conference meet the champions of the Horizon conference when Bryant plays Wright State in Dayton on Wednesday. This is a home game for the Wright State Raiders as their university is located in Dayton, Ohio which means it will feel like a tough road environment for Bryant in this one as Wright State should have an advantage. 

My first pick for this one is for Wright State to go over their total team points. As I look for them to be comfortable playing in front of what will essentially be a home crowd for the Raiders. I don’t see where they will have a problem lighting up the scoreboard in this game. While I think Bryant will make it competitive and score a ton of their points as well, I feel more confident in taking the over for the Wright State Raiders in this one. This one is sure to be a good game. 

For my second pick, I am taking a Wright State Raiders to win because of the home crowd advantage. As I believe it will give them a bit of an extra edge in this game. Wright State will have to play hard to get the win so I am not expecting a blowout in this one, as I look for it to be a close competitive game. However, as the clock ticks down to triple zeros I look for it to end up being a comfortable two-possession win for the Raiders at home in this game.

#11 Notre Dame @ #11 Rutgers – 9:10pm ET

After finishing second in the Atlantic Coast Conference somehow Notre Dame finds themselves playing in a play-in game. It truly doesn’t make much sense to me, how Rutgers is here as well when the Michigan Wolverines aren’t. The winner of this game will meet Alabama in the Round of 64 and honestly, I think the team that wins this game is a potentially sweet 16 team. Both of these teams put together decent regular seasons but saw early exits in their respective conference tournaments. 

My first pick in this one is the sensational Freshman from Notre Dame, Blake Wesley. If not for Duke’s Paolo Banchero, Blake Wesley would be the freshman of the year in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He may end up being the first-ever one-and-done player to ever come through South Bend. I look for Wesley to have a good game in this one as he likely tries to extend his Notre Dame career with a win over the Scarlet Knights. This is why I am taking Wesley to go over his total points in this game.

My second pick for this game is also a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. As I’m taking the standout senior Dane Goodwin to also go over his points total in this one as he too will look to extend his Notre Dame career in this game. I look for Goodwin and Wesley both to step up and try and get a much-needed win for the Fighting Irish. The first four exits could bring on a lot of questions about the job security of long-time head coach Mike Brey.
