Saturday March 25th

#9 Florida Atlantic @ #3 Kansas State – 6:09pm ET

My first pick for this game is for the Florida Atlantic Owls and the Kansas State Wildcats to combine to go over their total points in this game on Saturday evening. Both of these teams have been scoring a decent amount of points during the tournament and Florida Atlantic especially has had to rely on solid offensive outburst, to advance this far into the tournament. In their Sweet 16 win against Michigan State, Kansas State put up 98 points in overtime while Florida Atlantic put up 62 points to dispatch of the Tennessee Volunteers. I expect this one to be another high scoring game on Saturday evening.

My second pick for this game is for the ninth seeded Florida Atlantic Owls to cover the spread against the third seeded Kansas State Wildcats in this Elite Eight matchup on Saturday evening. At the end of the day, I think Kansas State will put it in the Florida Atlantic Cinderella run through the NCAA tournament. But I still look for Florida Atlantic to cover as I expect this game to go down to the very end. As I could easily see this one being won on a missed shot or a buzzer beater. As I look for both of these teams to trade buckets throughout 40 minutes, but in the end, I look for Florida Atlantic to cover but come up just short.

#4 UConn @ #3 Gonzaga – 8:49pm ET

My first pick for this game is for the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the UConn Huskies to combine to go over their total points in this game on Saturday evening. This is likely going to be one of the highest scoring games of the entire tournament as both of these teams have some electric offenses that can put up a ton of points. They have both been scoring very well throughout the first three rounds of the tournament and I expect more of the same in this one when they face off here on Saturday evening. As I can easily see this game clips in the 150 point mark if not more by the time it’s all said and done.

My second pick for this game is for the third seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs to pick up the victory and cover the spread against the fourth seeded UConn Huskies in this Elite Eight matchup on Saturday evening. UConn’s looked amazing throughout the first three rounds of the tournament, but at the end of the day, Gonzaga has a ton of talent and a ton of heart and they will continue to Chase that elusive national championship that has avoided them for so long. They found a way to win against the UCLA Bruins and I think they will find a way to win this one as well in advance to the final four.

Sunday March 26th

#6 Creighton @ #5 San Diego State – 2:20pm ET

My first pick for this game is for the Creighton Bluejays and the San Diego State Aztecs to combine to go under their total points in this game on Saturday evening. Out of the four remaining games left in the NCAA tournament this is the one that I expect to stay under its total points because of the San Diego State defense. And they’re sweet 16 victory over number one overall see you at Alabama, they shut down the red hot Crimson Tide offense and made Brandon Miller almost irrelevant. I expect a similar type of game in this one that is low scoring and competitive.

My second pick for this game is for the sixth seeded Creighton Bluejays to pick up the victory and cover the spread against the fifth seeded San Diego State in this Elite Eight matchup on Sunday afternoon. While I still expect this game to be low scoring, I still expect the Creighton Bluejays to pull out the victory and advance to the final four. They have looked solid all season long and despite being a six seed in the NCAA tournament they are still among the favorites to bring home the national championship. I looked for them to get the job done, and this one and advance to the final four with a victory over San Diego State.

#5 Miami @ #2 Texas – 5:05pm ET

My first pick for this game is for the Miami Hurricanes and the Texas Longhorns to combine to go over their total points in this game on Saturday evening. This is easily going to turn into a game or both of these teams trade buckets back-and-forth throughout the entirety of the 40 minutes. I could easily see this game going into overtime as well as i think the Miami Hurricanes will be a lot more competitive than people realize against this very tough Texas team in this game on Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, Texas has one of the best offenses in the country this season. 

My second pick for this game is for the fourth seeded Texas Longhorns to pick up the victory and cover the spread against the fifth seeded Miami Hurricanes in this Elite Eight matchup on Sunday afternoon. While I expect Miami to hold their own with Texas I still expect the Longhorns to pick up the victory in the end when the final buzzer sounds. As of right now, Texas has the easiest path to the national championship.
