#6 Tennessee @ #7 Clemson – 8PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Tennessee Volunteers and Clemson Tigers to combine to go over their total points in the Capital One Orange Bowl. This is likely going to be one of the highest scoring games of the 2022-23 college football bowl season as both of these teams can put up a ton of points in a hurry. Tennessee comes into this game having averaged 47 and a half points per game in twelve games this season. While Clemson averaged around 34 and a half points per game through their thirteen games on the year.
My second pick for this game is for the sixth ranked Tennessee Volunteers to pick up the victory over the seventh ranked Clemson Tigers. I expect this one to be a high scoring and competitive game between two of the top teams in the county. As both of these teams would be more than deserving of a playoff spot in the new expanded playoff format. But in the end I think Clemson will have trouble stopping Tennessee’s high powered offense and it’ll be what pushes the Volunteers to an Orange Bowl win.

Saturday December 31st
#5 Alabama @ #9 Kansas State – 12PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Kansas State Wildcats to combine to go over their total points in the Sugar Bowl on Saturday evening. While this likely won’t be the highest scoring game of the evening or even the bowl season, I still expect this one to have plenty of points scored between these two solid offensive teams. Alabama comes into this game averaging around 40 points per game. Meanwhile, Kansas State is averaging 33 and a half points per game.
My second pick for this game is for the fifth ranked Alabama Crimson Tide to pick up the victory and cover the spread against the ninth ranked Kansas State Wildcats. I expect this one to be a close and competitive football game throughout all four quarters and potentially overtime as well. However, I think the talent difference will end up being the difference as I expect potential number one overall pick Bryce Young to help lead the Crimson Tide to a Sugar Bowl victory.

#3 TCU @ #2 Michigan – 4PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the TCU Horned Frogs in the Michigan Wolverines to combine to go over their total points in the first of two college football playoff semifinals. Both of these teams put up incredible numbers this season on the offensive side of the football and I expect that and continue in this one as they look to clinch a berth to the national championship game. TCU and Michigan both come into this game averaging around 40 points per game. So I expect this one to be a high scoring shootout.
My second pick for this game is for the second ranked Michigan Wolverines to pick up the victory over the third ranked TCU Horned Frogs in the playoff semifinals in advance to the national championship game on January 9th. This one is probably going to be closer than the other playoff game and that is less than expected depending on who you ask. However, I think a lot of people are doubting TCU although I still don’t think they get the win. However, I do think they give Michigan all they can handle before the Wolverines eventually grab the victory.

#4 Ohio State @ #1 Georgia – 8PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Georgia Bulldogs to combine to go over their points in the second college football playoff semifinal on Saturday night in Atlanta. This is going to be a highest scoring, thrilling back-and-forth contest between two of the best teams in the country. It’ll be interesting to see how potential number one overall pick CJ Stroud performed against the top defense in college football. I still expect a high scoring game in this one regardless of the outcome as I think George’s defense will bend a little bit more often that they have all season long.
My second pick for this game is for the first ranked Georgia Bulldogs to pick up the victory over the fourth ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in the playoff semifinals in advance to the national championship game on January 9th. In the process also ruining a potential rematch between rivals Ohio State and Michigan for the national championship. I think the Bulldogs defense is just too tough to be stopped at this point and I think this will be the first step to them winning back-to-back national championships.

Monday January 2nd
#16 Tulane @ #10 USC – 1PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the USC quarterback Caleb Williams to go over his total touchdown passes against the Tulane Green Wave in the Cotton Bowl. The 2022–23 Heisman Trophy winner is likely going to have another massive performance in this New Year’s six bowl game. He is arguably the best quarterback in college football, despite still being a year away from being drafted and going to the NFL. He set college football on fire this season with his electric personality and electric play on the field, and I look for him to repeat it in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the 10th ranked USC Trojans to pick up the victory and cover the spread against the 16th ranked Tulane Green Wave. While most people might easily say this is gonna be a close game because of how Tulane has looked all season. I feel the opposite. I think USC is going to come out in this one fired up after losing the Pac 12 championship and their playoff spot when they lost to Utah last month. Which is why I expect the Trojans to roll two an easy victory in the Cotton Bowl.

#11 Penn State @ #8 Utah – 5PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Utah Utes to combine to go over their total points in the Rose Bowl. This edition of the Rose Bowl has an opportunity to be one of the best Rose Bowl games we’ve ever seen as two of the best teams in the country that didn’t make the playoffs are set to square off in this one. As Penn State looks for the 11th one of the season and Utah looks to reach eleven wins on the year as well and add another trophy to their already successful season. Penn State comes into this game averaging around 35 points per game and Utah is averaging around 40 per game.
My second pick for this game is for the eighth ranked Utah Utes to pick up the Rose Bowl victory over the eleventh ranked Penn State Nittany Lions. I look for this one to come down to whoever has the ball last and in the end I think it’ll be Utah that pulls out the victory over a very tough Penn State team. As I think the Utes just have too much fire power on offense to be stopped. I could easily see this game ending somewhere around the 45-42 area, with Utah winning with a field goal in the final seconds.
