My first pick for this game is for the Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler. He has got a dependable starting pitcher for Philadelphia this season, and he has been the perfect complement to Taijuan Walker. He will be looking to help Philadelphia get a victory in the opening game of this three-game weekend series against their in-state rivals, the Pittsburgh Pirates here on Friday night. Wheeler comes into this game with seven victories to his name this season, and he will be looking to pick up his eighth victory of the year against one of the worst lineups in all of baseball right now. I expect him to go deep into this game and go over his total strikeouts against Pittsburgh here on Friday.
My second pick for this game is for the Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller. Keller has been one of the few dependable players on the Pittsburgh Pirates roster this season. He has been the best starting pitcher by far and for a short period of time he was considered a candidate to win the National League Cy Young award at the end of the regular season as well. However, the wheels fell off on the Pirates season and Keller, as well as Pittsburgh will be looking to get things back on track when they open up this three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night at home. I expect him to go deep into this ballgame against Philadelphia on Friday night and go over his total strikeouts.

New York Yankees @ Baltimore Orioles – 7:05PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the New York Yankees, starting pitcher Gerrit Cole. He has been one of the best starting pitchers in the American league this season, and he’s arguably in the top three when it comes to American League Cy Young consideration as well. He will be looking to further prove his case in the opening game of the series against Baltimore on Friday night as he looks to help the Yankees get back into the American League East division title race, and the American League wild-card race as well. I expect Cole to have a solid game in this one and go over his total strikeouts against Baltimore here on Friday night.
My second pick for this game is for the New York Yankees to pick up the victory over the Baltimore Orioles in the opening game of this three-game weekend series. With Gerrit Cole taking the mound for the New York Yankees it gives them the advantage here in this game against Baltimore. As New York looks to get themselves back into the playoff conversation in the American League after a less than impressive start coming out of the All-Star break. I expect Gerrit Cole to shut down this solid Baltimore Orioles offense and for the New York Yankees to grab a much-needed victory in the opening game of the series on Friday night at Camden Yards.

Los Angeles Angels @ Toronto Blue Jays – 7:07PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Los Angeles Angels, starting pitcher Lucas Giolito. The Angels traded for Giolito late Wednesday night after they announced they were keeping Shohei Ohtani throughout the remainder of the season. This will be his first start in Los Angeles, and I think the change of scenery will do good for him as he looks to improve upon his less than stellar season with his new team. Giolito comes into this game with three victories to his name this season, and he will be looking to pick up his fourth victory of the season here on Friday night north of the border in Canada. I expect Giolito have a solid outing as he looks to shine for his new team and go over his total outs against the Toronto Blue Jays.
My second pick for this game is for the Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman. He has been solid for the Toronto Blue Jays up until this point of the season, and he will be looking to go out in the opening game of this three-game weekend series and deliver another quality performance. He comes into this game with seven victories to his name this season, and he will be looking to pick up his eighth victory of the year here on Friday night at home at Rogers Centre. I expect him to go out on the mound, have a quality performance against the Los Angeles Angels team that is coming off of a doubleheader on Thursday and go over his total outs.

My first pick for this game is for the Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Shane McClanahan. He has been absolutely incredible this season, and he is currently the front runner to win the American League Cy Young award at the end of the regular season as well. He has 11 victories to his name this season and he will be looking to pick up his 12th victory of the year here on Friday night in the opening game of this series against the defending World Series champions. My second pick for this game is for the Houston Astros starting pitcher Cristian Javier. He has been one of the best starting pitchers all season then I expect that to continue when they open up this series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night at Minute Maid Park. Javier comes into this game with seven victories to his name this season, and he will be looking to pick up his eighth victory of the year against one of the best lineups in the American league this season. However, Tampa Bay has been struggling since coming out of the All-Star break so I expect Cristian Javier to have a solid performance in the opening game of the series and go over his total strikeouts here on Friday night.

Texas Rangers @ San Diego Padres – 9:40PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Texas Rangers starting pitcher Dane Dunning. He has been having a solid season up until this point of the year and he has flown under the radar because of the success of the rest of the Texas Rangers pitching staff as well. He has picked up eight victories on the season and he will be looking to pick up his ninth win of the year here in the opening game of this three-game weekend series at Petco Park. Dane Dunning, has been consistent throughout the season and I expect him to have another quality start here in this game as I look for him to go over his total outs here on Friday night.
My second pick for this game is for the San Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove. He has been one of the most dependable players on this Padres roster this season as the team itself has been pretty underwhelming up until this point of the year. There are rumors that San Diego could be sellers during the upcoming trade deadline so this could be one of Musgroves final starts in a Padres uniform and he will be looking to make the most out of it in the opening game of this series against the Rangers. I expect Musgrove to go over his total outs here on Friday night.
