My first pick for this game is for the Baltimore Orioles Ryan Mountcastle. He has been one of the best power hitters in baseball up until this point in the season as he finds himself ranked in the top 20 in home runs on the year. He was on a very fast pace to open up the season, and while his numbers have slowed down a little bit, Mountcastle is still hitting the ball out of the park at a solid rate. He comes into this game with 11 home runs so far this season and I expect him to have a productive day at the plate in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the New York Yankees Aaron Judge. He has also been one of the best power hitters in baseball up until this point in the season as he finds himself ranked in the top 10 in home runs on the year. As it seems more and more likely that him and Ryan Mountcastle will go back-and-forth heading home, runs throughout the season and it’s impossible to tell who will finish with more at the moment. He comes into this game with 16 home runs so far this season and I expect him to have a productive day at the plate in this game. As I have both Ryan Mountcastle and Aaron Judge going over their total hits here on Thursday evening.

Philadelphia Phillies @ Atlanta Braves – 7:20PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Atlanta Braves Ronald Acuña. He has been one of the best hitters in baseball throughout the early part of the season, and I expect that to continue as they open up this series with Philadelphia on Thursday night. Acuña comes into this game among the league leaders in batting average as he is currently hitting well over .300 on the season. I expect him to have another productive day at the plate and this one is Atlanta looks to open up this four game weekend series with a victory. That is why I have Ronald Acuña going over his total hits here on Thursday evening at home.
My second pick for this game is for the Atlanta Braves to pick up the victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in the opening game of this four game weekend series. Following their World Series run last season, Philadelphia was expected to be one of the better teams in the league but they have been a complete disappointment up until this point. Meanwhile, Atlanta has been as solid as expected and they currently lead the National League East division, while Philadelphia sits in fourth place of the same division. This game will be the first of 13 meetings between the two teams and I expect the Braves to open it up with a comfortable victory.

New York Mets @ Chicago Cubs – 7:40PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the New York Mets, Brandon Nimmo. He is off to a solid start this season at the plate, and I look for that to continue in the finale of this series against the Chicago Cubs. He has been seeing the baseball well throughout the early part of this season and he has been on fire in the previous two games against the Chicago Cubs this week. I expect a third consecutive solid performance from Nimmo at the plate here in this one as the Mets try to pick up the victory and Thursday’s finale against Chicago. That is why I have Brandon Nimmo going over his total hits in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the Chicago cubs Dansby Swanson. He has another guy that has been performing well throughout the first two games of this series. He is also having a solid season for himself up until this point as well. I expect that to continue in the third and final game of the series on Thursday evening at Wrigley Field. As I look for Dansby Swanson’s performance to heavily influence the outcome of this game on Thursday night. That is why I also expect him to go over his total hits in the third and final game of this series against the Mets.

San Francisco Giants @ Milwaukee Brewers – 7:40PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Milwaukee Brewers and the San Francisco Giants to go over their total runs in this game on Thursday night. This game has the makings of a bullpen day with the San Francisco Giants choosing to start Scott Alexander, who has already made 21 appearances this season out of the pen for the Giants. I expect both of these teams offenses to put some runs on the board in the first game of their four game weekend series here on Thursday night in Milwaukee.
My second pick for this game is for the Milwaukee Brewers to pick up the victory over the San Francisco Giants in this game on Thursday evening at home. The Brewers are coming into this game with a record of 27-22 as they are five games above .500 through their first 49 games of the season. Meanwhile it’s been a slow start to the season for the San Francisco Giants as they come into this game under .500 as they close in on the first fifty games of their 2023 season. I don’t expect it to get much better for them in this one, as I expect the Milwaukee Brewers to get the victory.

Oakland Athletics @ Seattle Mariners – 9:40PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert. He comes into this game after a somewhat decent start to the season and he will be looking to continue that solid start against the Oakland Athletics here on Thursday night. He comes into this game with a record of 2-2 on the year and he will be looking to pick up his third victory of the season here in this one. His Earned Run Average is currently sitting at 3.81 and he will be looking to lower that in this start. I expect him to go over his total outs in this game on Thursday night.
My second pick for this game is for the Seattle Mariners to pick up the victory over the Oakland Athletics in this game. The Mariners were expected to be one of the top teams in the American League but have gotten off to a slow start this season. However, this series against the Oakland Athletics provided the perfect opportunity to get themselves back on track. They have already picked up the first three victories of this series and now I expect them to complete the four game sweep in this one on Thursday evening.
