My first pick for this game is for the Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah. He is having a Cy Young award winning type of campaign this season as he has picked up 12 victories heading into the middle of August. In 21 appearances this season he has averaged nearly 7 innings pitched every time he steps onto the mound. So it is easy to see why I have him going over his total outs here in this one.
My second pick for this game is for the Toronto Blue Jays to pick up the win over the Baltimore Orioles. In game one the Blue Jays looked rough and they ended up losing by three runs. However, I expect it to be a different story with Manoah on the mound as he has been an ace all season long and I don’t look for it to change here in this one.

Miami Marlins @ Philadelphia Phillies – 7:05PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Wheeler. He has been the clear Ace for the Phillies all year long as he has led the way with 10 victories in 20 appearances on the year. He has been a workhorse as he is averaging six innings pitched per appearance. I have him going over his total outs in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the Philadelphia Phillies to pick up the victory over the Miami Marlins here on Tuesday evening. In nine previous meetings this season Philadelphia has won six of them as they have dominated the season series up until this point. I don’t look for that to change especially with Wheeler on the mound in game number one of this three game series.

Cincinnati Reds @ New York Mets – 7:10PM ET
My first pick for this game is for the New York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco. He is having a career resurgence in the Big Apple after nearly being out of baseball all together a couple years ago. He comes into this game having picked up 12 victories in his first 21 appearances on the year. He is averaging nearly 6 innings pitched per appearance and I have him going over his total outs in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the New York Mets to pick up the victory over the Cincinnati Reds and game number two of their series. The Mets got the winning game one and now they will be looking to clinch the series victory here in game two and I expect them to do just that. As their hard-hitting lineup and solid pitching is just too much for the Reds to handle.

Los Angeles Angels @ Oakland Athletics – 9:40PM ET
My first pick for this game is For the Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher and the two way sensation Shohei Ohtani. While he isn’t having the season he did last year on the mound he has still been a solid option every time he pitches. He has picked up nine wins in his first 18 appearances on the year. He is averaging nearly 8 strikeouts per appearance and I have him going over his total strikeouts in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the Los Angeles Angels to pick up the victory over their American League west division rivals, the Oakland Athletics. While both of these teams are having less than stellar seasons it’s the Angels that have the majority of the talent between the two. I look for that to be on full display here in this one and for it to lead Los Angeles to a much-needed victory.

New York Yankees @ Seattle Mariners – 10:10PM ET
My first pick for this game is For the New York Yankees ace and potential American League Cy Young award winner Gerrit Cole. He is having a fantastic season as he has finally found his footing in the Bronx. He has picked up nine victories and 22 appearances on the season and will need to have a strong finish to really cement that Cy Young case but he is for sure in the running. He is averaging nearly 8 strikeouts per appearance and I have him going over his total strikeouts in this game.
My second pick for this game is for the New York Yankees to pick up the victory over the Seattle Mariners in game two of their series. After a rough weekend the Yankees bounced back in a big way and got a win on Monday evening over Seattle and I expect that momentum to carry over into this one. As I look for Cole to lead New York to a much-needed win.
