My first pick for this game is for the Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen. He was incredible throughout the regular season, and he positioned himself as a finalist to win the National League Cy Young award. He has been solid throughout the postseason as well, and he will be looking to deliver a quality performance in the opening game of this series as he looks to help Arizona get this World Series off on the right foot with a victory on the road in Texas here on Friday night. he has been shutting down opposing lineups all season long and I look for more of the same here in this one as I have him going over his total strikeouts on Friday night in game number one. 

My second pick for this game is for the Texas Rangers starting pitcher, Nathan Eovaldi. He has put up some fantastic numbers throughout the regular season and the postseason as well and he will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Friday night in the opening game of the World Series. He has been one of the most consistent starting pitchers for the Texas Rangers throughout the season, and they will be hoping they get a similar performance out of him here in this game, in what will be his most important start of the season to date. He has been solid at eating up innings and racking up strikeouts throughout the regular season and postseason and I expect him to go over his total strikeouts here in Game number one of the World Series on Friday night.
