Atlanta Hawks @ Washington Wizards – 7pm ET

The Atlanta Hawks meet the Washington Wizards in this battle of two underwhelming Eastern Conference teams on Friday night. Both Atlanta and Washington are on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoffs at the moment and both teams could really use a win to get something jump started with around less than 20 games left in the season for teams. Washington comes into this game with a record of 28-33 and Atlanta enters with a record of 29-32. Due to the fact that both teams could either show up and play well or play bad in this game instead of picking a winner I’ll be using player props.

My choice for the Atlanta Hawks may be an obvious one, but it is certainly the correct one. As I’m going with Trae Young to put up some great numbers in this game against the Washington Wizards. In one of his recent games, Trae Young put up another impressive performance against the Boston Celtics by scoring 31 points. Even coming off of the first game of a back to back against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night, I still trust Young to show up and perform on Friday night against the Washington Wizards. I am taking the over on Trae Young’s points for this game as he can put up 25+ with ease these days.

My pick for the Washington Wizards is Kyle Kuzma, as he has been on a bit of a roll as of late. In his last game against the Detroit Pistons, Kuzma put up 21 points as he shot 7/15 from the field and 6/6 from the Free Throw line. Kuzma is leading the Wizards as he is averaging 17 points a game and nearly 9 rebounds as well. In his previous three games he put up a combined total of 91 points and 30 rebounds as he has been one of the few bright spots for the Washington Wizards this season, as they are in the middle of a rebuild and likely will be for a few more years. In this one I am taking Kuzma to go over his combined points and rebounds prop.

NBA Parlay Pick: Trae Young over points & Kyle Kuzma over points & rebounds

Cleveland Cavs @ Philadelphia 76ers – 7pm ET

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the most surprising teams in the NBA this season. As they currently sit in the top half of the Eastern Conference standings. However, youth and injuries may be starting to catch up to them as they have hit a rough patch recently, and it comes at a horrible time as they will face a rough schedule in the coming weeks. The Cavs come into this game with a record of 36-26 on the year. The Philadelphia 76ers made a big splash before the deadline by trading away Ben Simmons for James Harden. They are looking to make one final push for the NBA title to complete the process. Philadelphia comes into this game with a record of 38-23.

My pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers is Darius Garland, Garland has emerged as one of the best young guards in the league this season. He is averaging 20.5 points per game and leading this young Cavs team as their rebuild is way ahead of schedule at this point. Garland will likely put up another big game in this one as he will look to get the Cavs back on track after their recent struggles and injury problems. I’m taking Garland with the over on his points total in this game as I look for him to surpass his season average with a stellar game.

For the Philadelphia 76ers, I’m going with a triple double performance from James Harden. He came so close in first home game as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers and in this one I expect him to get it. In his last game he put up 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. I look for him to play above those stats in this game as I have Harden getting a triple double to lead the 76ers to a win over a struggling Cleveland Cavaliers team. James Harden may just prove to be the final piece in the puzzle of the process that it takes to bring Philadelphia a second professional sports championship in the last 5 years.

NBA Parlay Pick: Darius Garland over points & James Harden triple-double

Milwaukee Bucks @ Chicago Bulls – 7:30pm ET

Two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference are set to face off in this huge Central Division matchup on Friday night. The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off of a win over the Miami Heat and have a record of 38-25 on the season. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls are coming off of the first game of a back to back against the Atlanta Hawks. This could be a late season preview of the Eastern Conference Finals as these two teams have all the talent to make a deep run in the playoffs this season. As they are both led by potential MVPs and a cast of young stars.

The Milwaukee Bucks are on a quest to win their second straight NBA Championship. They have been one of the best teams in the league this season. Most of that success can be credited to their superstar as the Greek Freak is one of the top five players in the league in my opinion. Giannis will likely have another big game in this one. Which is why I’m taking over on his points, rebounds and assists. As I look for him to carry the load in this game against a tough Chicago Bulls team.

My pick for the Chicago Bulls is DeMar DeRozan, as the former Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs star is putting up Most Valuable Player award winning numbers so far this season. DeRozan is capable of lighting up the scoreboard night in and night out and I expect more of the same in this game. Which is why I am taking him to hit the over on his combined points, rebounds, and assists on Friday evening against the defending champions, the Milwaukee Bucks.

NBA Parlay Pick: Giannis & DeRozan over points, rebounds & assists

Utah Jazz @ New Orleans Pelicans – 8pm ET

These two teams are heading in complete opposite directions. As the Utah Jazz are firmly in the middle of a playoff race in the Western Conference, and the New Orleans Pelicans may very well be regretting their draft choice of Zion Williamson. Utah comes into this game with a record of 39-22 which has them in fourth place in the Western Conference through their first 61 games of the season. Meanwhile the New Orleans Pelicans are towards the bottom and currently occupy the last play in game spot. They hold a slim lead of one game over the Portland Trail Blazers.

I’m going away from my usual formula and picking a team to win in this one. I’m taking the Utah Jazz moneyline to prevail in this contest. As I believe Utah has far more talent than New Orleans at this point in time. Just a couple years ago immediately following the Anthony Davis trade the Pels had one of the best young cores in the league but it went nowhere. Those formed players have all gone on to excel with their new teams in superstar roles. None more than Lonzo Ball in Chicago.

All signs point to Utah getting the victory in this game on the road against the Pelicans. Both teams are currently on a three game winning streak coming into this one and the Jazz level of talent will outplay the Pelicans level of talent in my opinion. Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley will likely be too much for CJ McCollum and the New Orleans Pelicans to overcome at home on Friday evening. I’m also taking Donovan Mitchell to go over on his assists.

NBA Parlay Pick: Utah Jazz moneyline & Mitchell over assists

New York Knicks @ Phoenix Suns – 10pm ET

The New York Knicks usually bring the same sob story into the season every year. All you ever hear from the big Apple is that they will get all the hottest free agents of that year’s free agency class. When the free agency period ends, they usually end up empty handed in the stars department. Meanwhile the Phoenix Suns are one of the best teams in the NBA this season and will be looking to make a run back to the NBA Finals and lift the title this time around. However for now they will have to do it without star PG Chris Paul.

It’s been yet another long season for the New York Knicks. As they come into this game with a record of 25-37 and find themselves in 12th place in the Eastern Conference at the moment. They are a full 4.5 games out of the last play in spot with 20 games left to go in their season. The few bright spots for the Knicks have been RJ Barrett and dunk contest winner Obi Toppin, however, they will need a lot more help if they want to turn this franchise back into a consistent winner.

The Phoenix Suns have taken down everyone in their path on their way to claiming the best record in the NBA this season. The Suns come into this matchup with a record of 50-12 through their first 62 games on the year. With only 20 games left in the regular season the Suns are virtually locked into the playoffs at this point and will likely also have home court advantage as long as they remain in the playoffs. As for the result of this game I have Phoenix getting the victory and I’m taking the spread as well. In addition to the Suns win I’m taking Devin Booker to hit the over on points

NBA Parlay Pick: Phoenix Suns Cover & Booker over points
