My first pick for this game is for the Philadelphia 76ers superstar James Harden. Without Joel Embiid, James Harden will have to step up the plate in this game against the Miami Heat. He will have to pick up some or most of the production that Embiid provides as a potential Most Valuable Player award winner. I look for him to do just that, as I have Harden going over his total points in game one of this series against the Miami Heat.

My second pick for this game is for the Miami Heat’s superstar shooting guard and franchise cornerstone, Jimmy Butler. He perfectly embodies the Heat culture of hardworking basketball players, which is why he has been such a perfect fit since coming to South Beach a few years ago. I look for Butler to do everything he can to match James Harden in this one as he tries to get the Miami Heat a game one victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Dallas Mavericks @ Phoenix Suns – 10pm ET
My first pick for this game is for the Dallas Mavericks superstar shooting guard, Luka Doncic. Since returning from injury midway through the Mavericks first round series with Utah, Doncic has been nearly unstoppable. While he won’t have such an easy time dropping buckets against a much tougher team this time around I still think he will go over his points total in this series opening game. The Dallas Mavericks are a series dark horse team to bring home the title but that hinges on Doncic remaining healthy and productive.

My second pick for this game is for the Phoenix Suns point guard and future National Basketball Association Hall Of Famer, Chris Paul. Paul is one of the greatest players of all time in my opinion, his passing ability is second to maybe only John Stockton. However, in this one I’m focusing on his scoring ability as I expect him to go over his total points in game one of this series against the Dallas Mavericks.
